MISTY BLUES

Misty Blues is a female led band from Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

The band plays traditional and original Blues with a hint of Funk, Soul, Jazz & Gospel and have been doing so since 1999.
​
In 2018, they won the honor of representing the Capital Region Blues Network in Memphis, TN for the
International Blues Challenge, hosted by The Blues Foundation, in January of 2019. The band held their own against the best the Blues World has to offer and found themselves in the Finals on Saturday at the Orpheum Theater.

They have recorded and share the stage with Charles Neville of the Neville Brothers and have opened for contemporary Blues artists Tab Benoit, Albert Cummings & Michael Powers.
​
Misty Blues have toured extensively throughout New England and have spread their sounds to Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee and beyond. They have received airplay on BB King's Bluesville and on top Blues radio stations and shows throughout the US and Europe.

They are currently working on their next album, which they hope to release in 2019.

From the opening track, “Hear My Call,”...the first thing that hits you is Coleman’s powerful, contralto voice…and it’s a voice to be reckoned with. It gave me chills the first time I heard it… and the second time… and the third time. It’s that kind of voice. Throughout the album, Coleman’s distinctive voice drives each song with a power and authenticity that can only be matched by a relatively small number of her contemporaries.
